Cross Country Meet

Herndon Family Gathering July 2009

This summer a large portion of the Herndon Family gathered in OKC. We had a great time visiting and celebrating Grandmother Herndon's 87th birthday. The Babb clan hopes to have a repeat event next summer with all the Biggerstaff and Louis families in attendance! Here are a few pics of the event...

Texas Weekend

The Babb family is in Texas this weekend. Shopping tomorrow...woohoo! Leah's graduation party with Herndon family on Saturday. Visit with Babb family in Dallas on Sunday. Head back to OKC on Sunday. Excited about seeing Andrew and Katie on Saturday! Full weekend!

Last Day of School

No pictures but today is the last day of a great school year for all of my children. A few milestones this year (according to the school system) Leah graduated from high school, Rebekah graduated from 8th grade (middle school-with numerous academic awards!), John graduated from 5th grade (elementary school), and Abby graduated from Preschool (not sure about the significance of that one, however her teacher assures me she was doing kindergarten and 1st grade work).

Andrew left on Monday for Sky Ranch where he will be leading worship and filling is as a counselor for the entire summer. We will miss him but what an exciting time for him! His girlfriend is there too, so I'm sure he won't be too lonely!

We are looking forward to seeing family in Dallas next week!

Leah's Graduation

Leah graduated from high school last night. WooHoo! Way to go Leah! We all attended along with a few of Leah's church friends and then we went to Johnny Carino's for dinner. This is Leah with her good friend, Melissa McLaws. Today we are having a Cook-Out/Swim Party at our house for Leah and some friends. Had to actually turn the heater on the pool because of our crazy weather! Somehow that doesn't seem right in the middle of May in Oklahoma! The sun is out and it looks to be a pleasant day.

Pool Season

Today was the first day the kids swam. They had a blast. The puppies were not too interested in all the activity, preferring to sleep on the porch. It was pure joy to sit on the patio and watch my children laugh and play!

8th Grade Graduation

No pics but, Rebekah graduated from 8th grade tonight! Not sure how this works but she was one of 40 valedictorians. Way to go Bekah!! On to high school next year...

Preschool graduation for Abby on Friday, high school graduation for Leah on Saturday, fifth grade graduation for John next week(can't believe John will be in middle school next year). Congratulations gang! Maybe I will remember the camera for the next three.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot...AWANA closing ceremonies tomorrow night.

School is out on Thursday, May 21 so maybe I can relax by the pool after that!
